Cheek filler, buccal fat removal and cheek implants
Cheek filler is a hyaluronic acid gel injected for more mid-face volume; it is injectable and temporary. Buccal fat removal is a surgical procedure in which part of the buccal fat pad is removed from inside the mouth. Cheek implants are solid implants placed over the cheekbones for more projection.
They work in opposite directions — adding volume or removing it — so it helps to see them on your own face. Whether any of them is suitable, and how much, is a decision for a qualified clinician.
In Veylo, filler is set in millilitres for both cheeks, buccal fat in millilitres per side and implants in millimetres of projection per side.

Questions about cheek filler & buccal fat
How much cheek filler would I need?
A clinician decides that. As context, one study observed 1.2 to 13.9 ml in total for both cheeks (mean 6.68 ml, including touch-ups). Veylo lets you try amounts on your own scan so you can ask about them.
Is buccal fat removal reversible?
It is a surgical removal of fat, so you should not think of it as reversible. Over-reduction can create a hollow appearance — discuss the risks with a qualified surgeon.
Does Veylo show my result?
No. It shows an appearance visualization from your scan. It cannot predict healing, swelling or how your face will change over time.
Why are buccal fat amounts per side?
Because the procedure is done on each side separately, and the published study reports the volume removed per side (1.8–4.9 ml, mean 2.74 ml).
Can I compare filler and buccal fat removal?
Yes. You can visualize them separately or together and switch back to your original at any time.
